Mission Statement
The Virginia Association of CALEA Accreditation Professionals is
dedicated to providing its members with a network that will encourage
communication, cooperation, sharing of resources, and facilitate
training established through the CALEA Accreditation Process.
VACAP is an active Police Accreditation Coalition (PAC) affiliated
with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

- New Accreditation Manager David Gearhart of the
Lynchburg Police Department, who will be replacing his predecessor,
Alan Faircloth, as of February 1, 2011.
- New Accreditation Manager Mark Purcell of the
Fredericksburg Police Department, who will be replacing his
predecessor, Jim Lynch, as of September 1, 2010.
